There is definitely something about this urban scene that truly draws my attention. This may have something to do with the view of the city from my hotel room when I was in Manila, Philippines many years ago. Or the image that I have in my mind of the area where my Polish grandparents used to live before immigrating to the United States. Even if I am always drawn to landscapes, seascapes, and cloudscapes, urban scenes never fail to capture my interest!
Even if there is hardly any space between the buildings, this urban shot is definitely a great change from the usual urban scenes that are pretty spread out with an ample amount of space between buildings, trees, roads, etc. The sharpness of this photo allows you to make out the details of the buildings, as if you were looking at the scene through a pair of binoculars! The colors truly add liveliness to the urban scene, even if the buildings are not new by any means! The contrasting look of the buildings truly makes for a very interesting sight to gaze at! I cannot imagine how dull of a moment it would be for one to look at the same scene over and over, since there is always something 'new' to discover due to the buildings being quite distinguishable.
All in all, a great urban shot with the lack of space as the main focus!
I cannot help but think of my grandparents whenever I come across urban scenes like this one! Looking at such shots always leaves me with such a tranquil feeling while being quite mesmerized!
